Economic Performance in the NI Economy

May 28 2014

It is now two years since the Northern Ireland Executive launched its Economic Strategy alongside the Programme for Government for 2011-15. David Sterling will give a presentation describing the current state of the Northern Ireland economy and setting out current progress against the targets and objectives in the Economic Strategy.

This breakfast briefing is being organised in conjunction with our strategic partner, the Institute of Directors (IoD).

Looking ahead the DETI Permanent Secretary will consider the prospects for the economy in the medium term taking account of global economic conditions, the UK public expenditure outlook and forthcoming political developments including the possible devolution of corporation tax. There will be ample time for discussion including the role the private sector might play in generating better living standards at a time when public expenditure growth will be limited.

There is no charge for this event. Breakfast will be provided between 8:00am and 8:30am.
