Fiona joins the Forum from Local Government, having worked for 8 years in Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council in Organisation Development.

As part of the Organisation Development Team Fiona worked with the Elected Members, Corporate Leadership Team, Managers and staff to improve the Council’s effectiveness and health through the implementation and management of the Council’s performance management, learning and development, employee engagement and change management processes and initiatives.

From 2014 Fiona was part of the transition team during the merger of the former legacy councils of Newtownabbey and Antrim, following the Review of Public Administration, working closely with Elected Members, the Chief Executive and Directors to deliver the extensive capacity building programme. She created and managed the corporate training programmes, health and wellbeing programme and developed a highly successful internal Leadership Development Portfolio.

Fiona has worked closely with Elected Members throughout her time in local government specifically on Member Learning and Development and successfully supported the Council in achieving the Elected Member Development Charter Award in 2015 and Charter Level 2 in 2019.

Fiona is a former senior board level sales professional with a 25 year career encompassing Business Development, National Account Management and Customer Relationship Management, with a track record in managing a successful regional business.

During her time with the Council Fiona completed an MSC in Human Resource Management and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
