On 1st April 2015 the new "Super" Councils will become operational. These new Councils will have increased responsibilities and powers including responsibility for Community Planning. A review of previous programmes and initiatives can provide all involved with valuable lessons on what has been effective in Northern Ireland and across the UK.

This briefing seeks to bring together the experience of local and central government with an ambition of achieving true partnership working in the delivery of Community Planning in Northern Ireland.

RSM McClure Watters is a local consulting firm that works extensively with public bodies in Northern Ireland, Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland in evaluating and developing programmes to support community based regeneration.
