Women Chief Executives' Group Meeting

January 12 2011

Meeting as group within the Forum the Women Chief Executives' Group encourages capable women to reach for the top. It aims to see and thus see a higher proportion of public sector CEO posts held by women. The current figure currently around one in five women chief executives in the Forum.

Progress towards a more balanced gender ratio is slower than the Group would like, its key intervention, the Women's Leadership Initiative, has proved remarkably enduring and an undoubted success story that is about to enter its ninth year.

Activities: From time to time the Group organises meetings and conferences including other women senior executives with guest speakers addressing topics the Group is interested in.

Roisín McDonough, Chief Executive of the Arts Council for Northern Ireland is the Group's Chair.
