On Board

March 07 2008

At the end of this 1-day seminar for non-executive directors, chief and other 'main board' executives, participants will have been briefed on the structure of the Northern Ireland public service and the place of their organisation in it. The role of the board - and the individual board member - will have been put in context. The programme deals with issues such as:

  • Public spending and how it is funded
  • The role of public bodies within the machinery of government
  • The relationship between a non-departmental public body and its sponsoring government department
  • Roles and responsibilities of the board and its members
  • Public service values and accountability

There is a fee for this seminar: £245 plus VAT, payable to the Chief Executives' Forum.
