NIAO Launch of 'Good Practice Guide on Conflicts of Interest'

March 26 2015

A core role for the Chief Executives' Forum is to ensure members are informed of new sources of best practice, aimed to improve all facets of public sector administration and delivery. This event will mark the launch by the Northern Ireland Audit Office (NIAO) of its "Good Practice Guide on Conflicts of Interest". We are pleased to again co-operate with the Chairs' Forum in hosting this event, bringing together Executive and Non Executive leaders in progressing what is very much a shared issue.

There has been a number of high profile conflicts of interest identified by the NIAO and the Public Accounts Committee of the NI Assembly in recent years. The NIAO Good Practice Guide on Conflicts of Interest seeks to bring together existing guidance and use good practice so as both officials and board members can recognise a conflict of interest, be aware of the different types of conflict and know how to deal with conflicts.

The event will be addressed by the Comptroller and Auditor General, Kieran Donnelly, and include input from further key speakers who will be announced shortly.

There is no fee payable for this event. Breakfast will be available on arrival.
