One of a series of Chatham House Rule meetings over dinner the guest speaker on this occasion was Owen Paterson, Shadow Northern Ireland Secretary and MP for the North Shropshire constituency. He was formerly Shadow Minister of State for Transport and previously Shadow Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. His Parliamentary appointments include being a Member of the Welsh Affairs Select Committee, the Agriculture Select Committee and the European Scrutiny Select Committee.
