The draft Programme for Government: TEO Briefing on the development of the framework and feedback opportunities for the wider Public Sector

February 16 2021

The Chief Executives’ Forum and Chairs’ Forum have joined together to host this webinar with The Executive Office (TEO) on the current consultation on the draft Programme for Government.

TEO published the draft Programme for Government for 2021/22 https://www.northernireland.gov.uk/consultations/consultation-programme-government-draft-outcomes-framework, with a view to finalising the document by April 2021.  It includes a draft Framework of Outcomes – statements of societal wellbeing which, taken together, are intended to capture the range of things that experience and research suggests matter most to people.

This webinar will include a short presentation from TEO’s PfG Director, Chris Stewart, detailing the development of the framework, the thinking behind it and a recap on the broad principles of Outcomes Based Accountability.

The key focus of the event will be on the views of members on the key things that need to happen to make this a PfG that makes real and lasting positive change towards improving well-being for all:

  • Do you agree with the Outcomes and key priorities that have been identified,
  • Is anything missing, or are there things that are not relevant?
  • What are the potential game-changing actions?
  • Who can help show the way forward?
  • What your organisation can bring to the Programme?
  • Who should the Executive partner and invest with to get the most impact from our collective efforts?
  • Who is best paced to deliver programmes on the ground?
  • What ideas are there for innovative new things or for seeing problems in a new light or for working in different ways?
