In Conversation: Ken Reid, Mark Devenport & Tommie Gorman: CEF talks to three giants of NI's media world as they hang up their microphones

October 01 2021

Three of Northern Ireland’s most well-known and trusted political broadcasters have retired over recent months.

Ken Reid (UTV’s former Political Editor), Mark Devenport (BBC NI’s former Political Editor) and Tommie Gorman (RTE’s former Northern Editor) have agreed to join us for a unique event at which they will reflect on their broadcasting careers, covering the pivotal events of the last two decades in Northern Ireland.

At this event, Ken, Tommie and Mark will reflect on their roles; reporting, interpreting and analysing NI’s political manoeuvrings over the last 25 years, charting the ebb and flow of politicians and parties and providing trusted analysis for their viewers.

They will share their insights into what makes our political leaders tick, and provide some of the unseen context behind the most critical political developments of our time.  They will provide their perspective on the interface between the public service and the politicians that shape it, as well as their analysis of the challenges facing public sector leaders.

This is an interactive event and guests will have the opportunity to put their questions and comments to our panelists.

Please Note:

As part of your organisation’s membership of the Chief Executives’ Forum there is no charge to attend this event.
