Ending Violence Against Women and Girls - How Can We Stop the Harm Before It Starts? A dialogue with NAZIR AFZAL

Following the publication of the NI Executive’s Strategic Framework to End Violence Against Women & Girls, CEF is delighted to join with NICON for a briefing with Nazir Afzal OBE, former Chief Prosecutor for NW England and National Adviser on Gender Based Violence for the Welsh Government.

In this session, we will facilitate a conversation with Nazir Afzal and an audience of partners and interested collaborators, focusing on prevention. The topic is “How can we stop the harm before it starts?”, a key focus of NI Executive strategy.

Nazir will share his experiences from his pioneering work in addressing violence against women and girls, offering valuable insights that may be adapted for the local context.  There will be an opportunity to exchange views and explore potential collaborative approaches to tackling this critical issue.
