Public sector leaders are experiencing what can best be described as "difficult times", an unprecedented period of change, reform and budgetary difficulties. In such a turbulent environment are public sector leaders getting their message across to their staff? All too often the message conveying the vision and our natural energy to convey it is dissipated and quashed under a barrage of activity and action, without any reference to a compelling vision for success.
Malcolm Follos, Managing Director of Sensei UKE, led a discussion that questioned what leaders spend most of their energies and time talking about at management meetings. He considered various devices for getting people across the organisation talking, sharing and collaborating in ways that would energise and involve them and positively engage their committment to the business.
