Steve Harper joined the Strategic Investment Board as Chief Executive in February 2025.

Steve previously served as the Executive Director of the International & Skills Group at Invest NI where he was responsible for Invest NI's international offices, ensuring the delivery of targets for both inward investment and export growth.

Steve was previously the Business Development Director at Wrights Group where he spearheaded the expansion of the company's export business, conducting market research to uncover new opportunities for products and services. Steve's career includes senior commercial positions with the McAvoy Group, McCormick MacNaughton, and Powerscreen. Prior to his return to Northern Ireland, he spent six years in Japan and Singapore working for Mitsubishi Materials Corporation.
