Membership

Benefits

Membership of CEF brings with it access to your peers across Northern Ireland’s public service. Our members span central government, local government and the Arm’s Length Bodies that deliver services on their behalf.

The Forum offers a network that facilitates opportunities to learn about the latest best practice; updates on policy developments and an understanding of what is influencing public policy development. Our events and networking opportunities enable members to broaden their networks, learn from each other and from outside experts and to help create solutions to the issues common to all public sector leaders. We bring national and international speakers relevant to the challenges facing local public sector leaders, as well as providing a platform to showcase local best practice, enabling us to learn from each other.

We work to provide access to thought leadership in issues ranging from personal and organisational resilience to technological and digital development; tackling workplace issues; driving and delivering transformation and keeping up to date on the latest guidance on governance and accountability.

In addition to our briefings which are free of charge and exclusive to members, the Forum offers a range of programmes bespoke to our members in the Northern Ireland public sector. These include Public Accountability and Governance seminars; the Building Inclusive Leaders programme for women at senior levels in their organisation and ‘Making the Soundbite Count’ a media training programmes bespoke for senior public sector leaders in Northern Ireland. We have recently added a suite of NLP-based leadership programmes, firmly based in the outcomes-based approach of the Programme for Government. Each of these programmes are available to book at discounted rates for CEF members. Additional programmes designed for individual organisations are available on request.
